TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Agung Sedayu Developer invested in the Aloha culinary area project that stretched along 4 kilometers in Pasir Putih Beach, Indah Kosambi Beach, Tangerang Regency. “The investment amounted to Rp60 billion or Rp70 billion,” said Arkana Agung Sedayu Group Founder and CEO Steven Kusumo after inaugurating Aloha PIK 2, on Tuesday evening, August 8, 2023.
Steven said that within three months of its operation, the Aloha, the FnB and entertainment establishment, has successfully attracted 20,000 daily visitors on average. “The highest number of visitors a day was 80,000 on a national holiday, the visiting trend is constantly increasing,” he said.
According to Steven, the PIK 2 beach area still has the potential to be developed with beach-themed tourist attractions.
Agung Sedayu Group also invites MSMEs to collaborate and develop in Aloha PIK 2. “We have prepared 60% of the area for MSMEs,” he said.
Meanwhile, State-Owned Enterprises Minister Erich Thohir said that the PIK 2 area sets an extraordinary precedent since the development did not only focus on property development but also on customers’ experience. “Amazing how (Agung Sedayu) can establish a customer experience area,” said Erick while inaugurating Aloha PIK 2 in Kosambi, Tangerang Regency on Tuesday, August 8, 2023.
Erick mentioned that the money circulation in PIK 2 reaches Rp65 billion a month, and was sure the number will rise even higher along with the increase in visitors.
Erick also gives credit to the founder of Agung Sedayu Group Sugianto Kusumo for the PIK success. “It is extraordinary that the private sector is willing to invest in an industry where the government needed to be more present,” he said.
According to Erick, the creative and tourism industry in Indonesia needs to be boosted. The number of tourists in Indonesia is not on par with other neighboring countries. “Meaning, we have not yet reached our desired potential,” he concluded.
